Protecting our Beaches, Parks & Lagoon
Our beautiful beaches need protection from excessive foot traffic and crowded parking as neighboring towns use free resident passes. We also need to address the homeless presence at beaches and throughout the city.
Support for our Police Officers, Fire Fighters and First Responders
Let's support the people who bring safety to our neighborhoods - the police, firefighters and first responders. Let's support IHB in ensuring our fire department's needs are met and our police deparment is supported.
Short Term Rentals
Let's find the balance between keeping IHB the great neighborhood it is and having short term rentals. Let's start with putting together a committee of local owners and local residents to jointly discuss how to reduce the negative impacts on our neighborhood while also supporting local owner rights.
Support our Residents
Let's take care of our families, our elderly and our pets. With a focus on residents we can work with local charitable services to ensure our long-time residents have meals to eat and a safe place to live. We can also support a donated pet food bank for owners in need. Innovative ideas with no cost to the town.
It's The Little Things...
Let's expand the bike lanes and fix sidewalks to and from school to ensure child safety. Let's resolve golf cart concerns with a simpler registration process. Our beaches are more than a tourist attraction, they are a cherished community asset. Let's offer free residential beach parking passes to help preserve our sense of community.
Improve Recycling
Indian Harbour Beach is a beautiful coastal community that cares about the environment. By improving & increasing our current recycling stations, we can not only help our planet but also increase revenue from recycling. Let's work together to make our community a cleaner and more sustainable place to live.
